We support the development of creative programmes with an educational focus in local communities. Led by the communities that we serve, we work together to create innovative, engaging and sustainable ways of improving well-being and attainment. We are committed to working for children and their parents/carers who often face barriers that prevent them engaging with art-based activities. Projects are developed in partnership with third sector and voluntary organisations who have well-established links with the community.

Working in partnership with third sector and voluntary organisations
We collaborate with local community organisations who have developed strong links with families and can identify people to work with and support their engagement. Part of the sustainability of our work involves the development of resources for family workers and community organisations so that they can run these projects again. These resources will be available for other interested groups shortly.

Supporting Learning
A strong education component is incorporated using imagery with poetry / short stories to spark imagination and promote low-stakes literacy engagement and enjoyment around reading. Artists leading the workshop are on hand to guide participants. A brief is provided at each session.

‘The Little Things’
The little things are most worthwhile
A quiet word, a look, a smile,
A listening ear that’s quick to share
Another’s thoughts, another’s care…
Though sometimes they may seem quite small,
These little things mean most of all.
